Carburos Metálicos has today (Jan 4) said it will continue to pioneer hydrogen mobility solutions throughout Spain in 2022 as it continues on its Hydrogen Route which it successfully started last year.
Having passed through the streets of Oviedo, Bilbao, Tarragona, Zaragoza, Valladolid and Córdoba, the route saw the Air Products company play a leading role in hydrogen solutions throughout the country and highlight the feasibility of the clean energy alternative.
As part of the Hydrogen Route, Carburos Metálicos demonstrate hydrogen refuelling operations with real life passengers. To achieve this, portable hydrogenator units, which allow for refuelling in a few minutes, were deployed at each stop off.
Miquel Lope, General Director of Carburos Metálicos, said, “The ‘Hydrogen Route’ initiated by Metallic Carbides is showing that mobility solutions based on renewable hydrogen are already a real alternative.”

Following the success of the 2021 route, Carburos Metálicos has said it will continue throughout the European country in 222 and will also supply the hydrogen for its hydrogenator refueller.
