Chart Industries has secured a helium plant order from one of Russia’s largest independent oil and gas producers.
Confirming the news today (14th June), Chart said the order includes equipment supply for the plant, commissioning and start-up, but it does not have any construction responsibility.
Thought the be the second of its kind, the plant will be the customer’s first helium plant.
Commenting on the deal, Jill Evanko, CEO and President of Chart, said, “This significant helium liquefaction win is our third hydrogen/helium liquefier order year-to-date 2021 and demonstrates the leading market position of our and Cryo Technologies’ combined liquefaction technologies and capabilities.”
“Our hydrogen/helium commercial liquefaction bidding pipeline remains very active, and we expect this trend to increase throughout the second half of 2021.”
Detailing the deal, Chart said equipment deliveries are anticipated to be complete by the end of 2022, with expected completion of commissioning and start-up 12 months later.
