Atlas Copco has agreed to acquire MEDGAS-Technik GmbH, a manufacturer, distributor, installer and service provider of medical air and medical vacuum systems, pipeline equipment and medical supplies.
Headquartered in Berndroth, Germany, MEDGAS currently has 80 employees and has office branches in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
Vagner Rego, Business Area President Compressor Technique, said, “The company’s knowledge of product portfolio will strengthen our presence and accelerate our business development within medical gas in Europe.”
The acquisition is expected to be completed during the third quarter of this year. The purchase price was not disclosed.
Once the acquisition is complete, MEDGAS will become part of the Medical Gas Solutions division in the Compressor Technique business area.
